The North Valley Coffee Growers' Cooperative has been active in the region since 1963, providing economic, social, and environmental opportunities to the North Valley coffee community.
We make a positive impact on the more than 1,600 affiliated coffee-growing families through direct access to our various services, programs, and social investment projects, as well as through job creation.
We also make an environmental impact through our three protected forest areas, covering a total of 170 hectares, located in the municipalities of El Águila, Ansermanuevo, and Argelia. These forests serve as a water source for the rural areas of these municipalities and provide a habitat for thousands of wildlife species.

CafeNorte is present throughout the entire value chain, from cultivation to the export and marketing of coffee. Ensuring transparency and sustainability in all our processes. With a service area spanning 12 municipalities and more than 1,600 affiliated coffee farmers, who simultaneously contribute to and lead the organization and have access to the cooperative's various services and programs.
When you buy this coffee, you indirectly invest in a powerful socio-economic ecosystem that deeply impacts the lives of Colombian coffee growers. Your purchase finances direct quality- and certification-driven premiums (such as Fairtrade and Rainforest Alliance) that go straight onto the farmers' base coffee price, while also funding sales-based bonuses for the cooperative's skilled workforce. Furthermore, this financial support directly fuels ongoing community programs, providing farming families with educational scholarships, agronomic training, food security, and crop diversification to ensure long-term stability.
On an environmental and structural level, your purchase sustains a fully integrated, sustainable supply chain that completely protects and empowers the producer. By supporting Café Norte’s extensive infrastructure, which covers local buying points, private transport across 12 municipalities, specialized storage, and in-house threshing, you help eliminate exploitative middlemen so farmers can focus entirely on high-quality, eco-friendly practices. Ultimately, a buyer contributes to preserving Colombia's natural resources while securing higher incomes and better living standards for the hardworking communities behind the coffee.
